Love Stoned

To be honest, I actually don't care what the majority of people think about a certain artist, singer, actor, whatever. Then why do I often have the feeling that I have to apologize when I mention one regarding something I really like?

To me, the result of what this specific person/persons produce, is mostly what counts. It can be touching, striking, triggering, uplifting; why let it be influenced by, lets say, the looks of somebody? Or the opinion (whether it's true or not) of someone else?

An example is Justin Timberlake. I am not even going to mention what "others" think about him. Some of his songs are catching, this is one of them. And that's what it's all about.

4 in the morning

Some songs, even when heared for the first time, give you this really special feeling. They have a big 'wow'-factor. Gwen's latest is one of these.

I think I said it before but gosh, isn't she amazing. This song is maybe not what you expect from her, but like all of the other ones she does, it sticks in your head and won't leave!

Well, at least you now know what to do when you're alone at 4 in the morning...

Dream About Me

When she woke up, it was just starting to get light outside. She could hear it was raining. Another day was waiting and she knew she had to get up.

But before she did, she closed her eyes again, just for a moment, and recalled the moments she didn't want to let go. Like a vision, it was there... With a smile on her face, she stretched her body slowly and got out of bed. Another day was waiting.

But she longed for the coming night already. She wished it was dark, late and time for bed. 'Cause then, she could relive those moments again, but much longer and intensive then just before. For now, all that was left to do, was waiting.

While the day moved on, she found herself more than once whispering some words of this particular song, that seemed to be repeated numerous times in her head.

"Babe, ooh dream about me,

I wanna be yours
I want you to be mine
Against red skies, for long time"

Make A Memory

Not much time right now, but just had to post this one as it is very good, to my humble opinion. Very, very good indeed.... but very, very bad for melodramatic moods...
(before you know it, you've spend far too much time on reliving your own memories, as you realised too late that you've been listening to this song for the last 3/4 of the hour because of that bloody repeat-button)

Bon Jovi - Make a Memory

Hello again, it’s you and me
Kinda always like it always used to be
Sipping wine, killing time
Trying to solve life’s mysteries

How’s your life, it’s been a while
God it’s good to see you smile
I see you reaching for your keys
Looking for a reason not to leave

If you don’t know if you should stay
if you don’t say what’s on your mind
Baby just breathe
There’s no where else tonight we should be
You want to make a memory

I dug up this old photograph
Look at all that hair we had
It’s bittersweet to hear you laugh
Your phone is ringing I don’t want to ask

If you don’t know I’ll understand
If you stay, hey, I’ve got a plan

You want to make a memory
You want to steal a piece of time
You can sing a melody to me
And I can write a couple lines
You want to make a memory

If you don’t know if you should stay
And you don’t say what’s on your mind
Baby just breathe there’s no where else tonight we should be
You want to make a memory
You want to steal a piece of time
You can sing the melody to me
And I can write a couple lines
You want to make a memory
You want to make a memory

Believe in me

"Do you have Lenny's "Believe in me?"" she asked him, when he was looking for some music on his PC. She stood behind him, and looking at his back, she couldn't resist leaning against him, feeling the warmth of his body.

He didn't have it, which was a shame really. It would have perfectly suited the moment. How perfectly 'perfect' it would have been, she only realised later.

It took her a while to grab herself back together again, but she managed. It was rewarding in the end. She had the feeling they both were able to do better this time. She believed in him and that also meant that she had to allow herself to trust that he believed in her too.

Desires, wishes, needs. They all deserve a different approach sometimes and in a way she was proud of discovering that. All you need to start is to believe in yourself. When you do this, you can honestly say out loud: Believe in me. And what follows is that the one you say it out loud to, instantly feels that you believe in him/her too. Call it a circle of trust.

She knew it wasn't always going to be easy; it may take a long time before discovering, via accepting and trying, ends up in achieving. But she had the will to try and the first attempt was succesful.

Thank God he didn't have Lenny's "Believe in me" though. She would have failed miserably if he did.

About last night

Years and years ago I watched a film with this same title. To be honest, I haven't got a clue what it exactly was all about, but that's not relevant. All I remember is that it involved 2 people, who had this amazing night-time experience together, wonderful. But then comes the next day.
I'm sure that the rest of the movie was about how each of them dealt with that night, how they felt the next day and how, in the end, as a good tear jerker of a film should end in the first place, both persons and both versions of that night-time experience come together and melt passionately into one (again...).

Well, that is definitely not how my night-time experience was. And I also haven't got a clue why that film shows up in my head, as it is so the opposite of what my night was like. But then, a lot of the things that show up in my head are hard to follow, if not completely impossible, plain stupid, the highest form of idiocracy.

I sometimes start doubting that whole "fresh start" thing.
