Attention, attention!

About 40 min's ago or so, I signed in to my blog account to write a new post. Usually, before I get to that, I check out some of my fav sites/blogs (see list of them somewhere in the sidebar).

This time, I didn't get far. I got stuck at Flea's blog and that was it. And, like I said, it's 40 min's (or so) later. Now I am a bit of a Flea-fan (huge actually, but I don't want to give any of you the impression that I'm getting a bonus out of this or something), which means:

• I check her blog very often,
  
• which also means that when there's a new post, it doesn't normally take 40 min's (or so) to read it (unless she's doing her "months of email-catching up"-round).
• none of that this time, her post was somewhat of a confession...
• and that means: good news!
  

Apparently a few members of our beloved blogging society have had a baby! The delivery went very well and the name of this newborn is

I knew it. Robert and I would make a great couple. I mean, gosh, look at the figures! That says it all, right? Just a bit of a shame really, that he doesn't know this. Oh well, as long as I do, I'm ok with it.

OK, I'll cut the crap now and it's back to reality. This was just one of those silly tests you'll find on the net, and I thought that the results were hilarious, but good enough to share it. Found it via one of these Google ads, whilst checking out one of my favorite clips of Ally McBeal. Mr Love is singing together with Sting the classic "Every breath you take". Don't need much imagination for a bit of fantasizing... I'll be watching you...

Weakness in me

When feeling low, I like to "treat" myself with a dreadful but lovely amount of hours surfing the net. As I love music, a fair bit is spend on searching for and listening/watching songs. That's one of my weaknesses.

So I stumbled upon this one, which touches me so much and makes me really want to see The L Word series (another good reason for surfing). Melissa Etheridge is so good anyway, her voice goes right through you and I admire her strong personality.

As I was writing this post, I realised that I wondered whether or not I would offend some people who have "a problem" with lesbians. But hey, this is my blog, and I do most certainly not have "a problem" with lesbians/gays whatsoever, so what should stop me posting it? Why did I even think that way?

Because I am used not to think for myself enough, always worried what others may feel or say. But that is coming to an end, I do not want to be influenced by other's opinions. I also don't want to be ashamed or embarrassed about my own personality, as long as I don't hurt someone of course.

Whatever, it won't hurt anybody if I say that I like lesbians. Or gays. Or the so called "straight". And if it does,
so be it.

Calm day, until now

For the first time since last week, the day didn't start badly. Hsb and I even talked, without him getting angry, without me getting upset.
Although I nearly did, and I could just stop myself in time, not to get wound up.

I was able to tell myself not to blame him, "simply" just because that's the way he thinks.

And that made me say things in a very calm way, without being obnoxious or hurtful.


Really, it's a wonderful feeling when you impress yourself.
